“A harmonious, fulfilling relationship is key.”
Couples Therapy
Couples therapy is distinct from individual therapy as it focuses on a shared objective: enhancing the relationship. In couples therapy, the relationship itself is our primary focus. Couples therapy allows partners to work on communication, strengthen emotional connection and intimacy and deepen their bond. I offer marital, premarital, coparenting and partnership counseling. Couples don't need to be in a crisis to benefit; prevention is the key.
What comes to mind when you think of a couples therapy?
A couple on the verge of separation with a long history of conflicts , resentment and disagreements? Sometimes, but not always. Majority of couples I counsel don’t fit into this description. They might be in a loving and respectful relationship, and yet they are:
Struggling to express their emotional or sexual needs
Struggling with work/life balance, finances, parenting challenges.
Navigating complex blended/extended family dynamics.
Looking to rekindle the connection they once had with their partner and deepen their bond.
Looking for guidance, support and strategies to improve their communication
Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to face your challenges alone. It is not too late to start over!
You might be a couple that is separated or planning to separate, but would like to improve your communication and maintain healthy boundaries as you co-parent together.
You might be a couple who recently formed a blended family and are struggling with adjustment.
You might be parents of special needs children seeking guidance on navigating resources, complex medical /psychiatric diagnoses, and advocating for your children while maintaining an alliance with your partners.
You might be the empty nester struggling to find your life’s purpose and reconnect with your spouse.
You might be an elderly couple who have lived together all your life and are now struggling with communication, chronic illness, caregiver responsibilities, and other factors of mature love.

Virtual therapy is provided via a HIPPA-compliant platform and requires a stable internet connection. Research shows that virtual therapy is just as effective as in person therapy. It is ideal for busy professionals, out of state clients and individuals with mobility issues and other disabilities. However, it isn’t for everyone. Virtual therapy isn’t recommended for individuals with attention/focus difficulties and acute psychiatric conditions.

Although I don’t believe in having “ideal clients”, I certainly have a good idea who is a good fit for the type of therapy I provide. My clients are intelligent, self-motivated and curious about themselves and the world around them. They seek therapy not just to discuss their issues, but to generate change within.
