Individual Therapy
You might be experiencing a life transition or a personal crisis. You have always been self-reliant, but now feel overwhelmed and unable to tackle life's challenges
You are insightful and successful, but you are struggling with confidence issues, finding ways to manage stress and anxiety, and prioritizing self-care
You are seeking clarity , insight and wisdom
You are intelligent, motivated, and willing to put in effort, but unsure where to begin and need coping strategies
We work with adults navigating the many demands of modern life, including women facing challenges related to motherhood and relationships, men navigating career pressures, family responsibilities, and societal expectations, high-achieving perfectionists, law enforcement and first responders. Whether you are struggling with life transitions, relationships, work-life balance, parenting, or the pressure to meet everyone’s expectations, our goal is to help you develop greater self-awareness, find inner balance, and live more authentically—aligned with who you are and what matters most to you.
What should I expect from individual therapy?
We’ll focus on your unique experiences and challenges, pinpointing areas that need attention. You will learn coping strategies, mindfulness techniques, explore existential themes and take a deep dive into your beliefs and values.
As we build rapport, we will develop trust and ensure a collaborative relationship. Typically, sessions are held on a weekly basis; however, frequency can be discussed based on your individual needs.

Virtual therapy is provided via a HIPPA-compliant platform and requires a stable internet connection. Research shows that virtual therapy is just as effective as in person therapy. It is ideal for busy professionals, out of state clients and individuals with mobility issues and other disabilities. However, it isn’t for everyone. Virtual therapy isn’t recommended for individuals with attention/focus difficulties and acute psychiatric conditions.

Our approach is eclectic. We avoid a cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all model and integrate different therapeutic modalities tailored to each client’s individual needs. Our clinicians draw from CBT, EFT, psychodynamic, narrative, and existential approaches.
Based on your individual situation, we will recommend the clinician best suited to address your specific concerns. Each client receives individualized attention and a personalized treatment plan. Our senior clinician, Ellen Usatin, speaks with and triages all new clients to ensure they are matched with the clinician best equipped to provide the appropriate care.

Although we don’t believe in having “ideal clients,” we do have a good sense of who is likely to be a good fit for the type of therapy we provide. Our clients tend to be intelligent, self-motivated, and curious about themselves and the world around them. They come to therapy not only to address challenges, but also to gain insight, create meaningful change, and grow.
When necessary and clinically appropriate, we may refer you to a provider with specialized expertise in your particular area of concern or to a prescribing provider when medication management may be beneficial. On occasion, we may recommend a higher level of care, such as an IOP or PHP, and will help ensure that you are connected with appropriate resources and support.
