About Sara
Sara is an experienced mental health counselor who has worked in outpatient settings with diverse clients and a wide range of mental health concerns. She offers counseling for individuals and couples who feel stuck in difficult emotional or relational patterns. She believes that with greater self-understanding and compassion, people can begin to create meaningful change and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. Her approach is warm, person-centered, and grounded in the belief that everyone has the capacity for growth.
Sara draws from person-centered and psychodynamic approaches, as well as parts work, to help clients better understand their emotions, relationships, and patterns of behavior. She also utilizes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help clients process trauma, distressing experiences, difficult emotions, and unhelpful beliefs.
When working with couples, Sara uses Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an attachment-based approach that helps partners understand the underlying emotions and needs that shape their relationship patterns. Through this process, couples can develop greater emotional safety, strengthen their connection, and learn to navigate challenges together.
